Geometry

Geometry

Suspension geometry refers to all contact characteristics between the wheel of a vehicle and the ground, as well as the way in which the suspension functions. In other words, it also defines the limitations of the suspension’s degrees of freedom.

The word ‘geometry’ is often replaced incorrectly with the word ‘alignment’, a simplification resulting from the fact that quite often alignment is the only adjustable setting on a vehicle’s suspension. Nevertheless, geometry significantly influences a vehicle’s behaviour.

At Tyremasters, the bodywork and parallelism (pinching or opening) are analysed and, if necessary, adjusted in line with their original characteristics.

Tyremasters’ high performance analytical system allows for precise adjustment. It is suitable for all vehicles, from compact city cars to estates, as well as super cars.

It is recommended that your car’s suspension geometry be adjusted annually in order to ensure flawless road handling, even tyre wear and healthy road behaviour, which maintains your car’s original characteristics.
